For your 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885, and wiring harness # 3040-P. The P2 is one of the most popular and best selling brake controllers of all time because it is reliable, easy to use, and easy to set up. It is also compatible with electric over hydraulic braking systems as well as regular electric trailer brake systems. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.

The harness will plug right into a factory connector on the vehicle, see instructions link. However, since the factory connector does not have the best ground be sure to attach the additional white ground wire to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface.
