The Auto-Latch models of the Gen-Y 5th wheel to gooseneck pin boxes like the # GY58GR you'd looked at do feature a cable that lets you un-latch the hitch from outside the truck bed.
Two models of the Gen-Y auto latch are available, part # GY66FR with a 25K capacity and # GY58GR with an 21K capacity. Both are replacements for the Lippert 1621 or 1621HD OEM pin box.
