Which Will Have Greater Impact on Trailer Stability SumoSpring or Cushioned Equalizer

Question:

HI, I will be installing SumoSprings on my 27 ft. 5th wheel. How would also installing an upgraded equalizer be an even greater improvement? Or, would it? My main concern is steady wind and wind gust. Would having both affect my trailers response to the wind force to a greater degree than only having the SumoSprings. Or would the upgraded equalizer affect the wind problem at all. How is the job of the springs and the equalizer different and or, the same? Thank You

For side to side stability on your camper the SumoSprings like # TSS-107-40 is going to be the bigger improvement than an upgraded equalizer. An upgraded equalizer will basically cushion the ride quality but it won't make a significant change in the stability like the SumoSprings.

The SumoSprings will provide independent support to either side of the trailer's suspension which will help prevent the trailer from being affected by the wind gusts whereas the cushioned equalizers would basically just allow the suspension to function with an added area of cushioning. This means stability would not be increased.
