Great 4-Bike Rack for Electric Bikes on a Motorhome

Question:

I had a hard time finding many 4 bike racks that work on motor home. The Swagman S64FR might work but I have two questions ... First: The weight limit says 45 lbs. I have two ebikes at 50 lbs each and two other bikes at 35 each .... will I be ok? Second: Three of the bikes have fenders ... is that an issue? Thanks for your help. Steve

The Swagman Quad 2+2 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # S64FR is fine when it comes to fenders since it uses a frame hook that clamps to the top tube and not the wheels. As for weight capacity though, I wouldn't risk it since that weight usually applies to the individual cradles and wheel straps and isn't evenly distributed by the whole bike rack. If anything happens to the bike rack, having 'too heavy' bikes will be blamed.

I have a better recommendation for you though! The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HR1400Z is a very similar bike rack in terms of design, compatibility with motorhomes, and that you can convert it into a 2-bike rack whenever you want. What's nice about this one is that it has a 50 lbs per bike weight capacity. That's perfect for your situation!

Make sure to take off your batteries and keep them in your motorhome while transporting your bikes. The extra vibrations and road stress on the bike racks can affect your battery life.
