How To Transport 4 Bikes On The Back Of A Travel Trailer
Question:
I am looking for a 4 bike platform rack to put on my travel trailer . I currently use a hanging style rack but it beats up the bikes. Can you recommend any style platform rack to help prevent bike damage on the bumper of my camper . Thank You

I have a solution for you, however, there are not any 4-bike platform carriers that are compatible with a travel trailer. This is because it is difficult for a bike rack to hold the weight of 4 bikes while also taking on the excess stress and bounce of the travel trailer. I recommend looking into the Swagman Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier # S64663 which holds 2 bikes. There is not a travel trailer-approved platform rack that can hold more than 2 bikes.
For the remaining 2 bikes you could use Surco Ladder-Mounted Bike Carrier # SP501BR, which mounts to a ladder with 1" tubing if you have a ladder on your travel trailer. If you do not have a ladder with 1" tubing, then you could use a bumper-mounted bike rack such as Swagman Around the Spare Deluxe 2 Bike Rack # S80501. This mounts to travel trailers with a 4" - 4-1/2" square continuously welded steel bumper.
Your last option is to use Swagman Straddler Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier # S80503 which mounts to an A-frame trailer tongue with rails that are between 10-1/2" to 31". You can then install the Swagman Titan 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # S63400 onto the Swagman Straddler. I have attached demonstration videos for these products.
