Replacement Headlights for 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

Hello, I was looking at headlight lamp replacement and noticed that when I ed high and low beams for my 2009 Accent I was able to find the lamp that had both beams. However when I searched for lamps for my 2014 Honda Odyssey with the same ion. I only see lamps that are described as having low or high beam but not both? I just want to make sure the lamp will have both, high and low before I purchase. I need lamps for a 2012 Silverado 2500 HD, will I have a the same problem finding lamps for it as well? I appreciate any help clearing this up for me.

I can see why this might create some confusion, but it's going to be down to the differences in the types of lights that are used in these vehicles. The 2009 Subaru Ascent only uses a single bulb for both functions where as your 2014 Honda Odyssey and the 2012 Chevy Silverado have separated high and low beam functions, so replacing the lights can be done one at a time or all at the same time.

If you check out the front of your 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500 or your 2014 Honda Odyssey you'll notice that there are two lights on each side; one for the low beam and one for the high beam. For this reason you will need one for each lamp to give yourself a completely new set of lights.

In order to replace all of the headlights on your 2500 you will want to use 2 low beams like the Vision X # VX-DH11 and 2 high beam bulbs like the # VX-D9005.

Our fitguide typically tries to do a good job of making it simple but this is an instance where not all vehicles are created equal.
