What Does Clicking Circuit Breaker of 7-Way Install Kit # ETBC7 Mean

Question:

I have bought this about two years ago and i am not hearing a clicking noise from my circuit breaker. I am told that means its going bad, is this true? If so can i purchase a replacement part?

If a circuit breaker is clicking that means it's cutting the circuit and doing it's job to protect the wiring and from passing the short further up the circuit. You said it's "not" clicking which would mean it's seemingly just fine but since there's a chance you meant to type "now" that would indicate that the circuit is overdrawing and tripping the breaker. This is most of the time caused by a short on the circuit's wiring but could also just be from overdrawing the circuit.

If it's happening as soon as the trailer is connected that would indicate that you most likely have cut or exposed wiring on that circuit on the trailer side that's touching metal. You'd need to go over the circuit to find that and use some electric tape to insulate it.
