Will the Edge Evolution CTS2 Programmer Work on a 2004 GMC 2500 HD with Cold Air Intake System

Question:

I was wondering if I could safely install a Edge CTS Gas Evolution Programmer in my 2004 GMC 2500 HD with 225,000 miles. I already have installed a cold air in take but would like more mpg and maybe a little extra hp.

Yes, you can install the Edge Evolution CTS2 Programmer, # EP85450, on your 2004 GMC 2500HD with 225,000 miles and a cold air intake. When installing a programmer on a vehicle with high mileage, you will want to make sure the truck is in good running condition. Pre-existing, minor problems can turn into major problems once a programmer or tuner is installed. I would recommend having a tune-up done before installing the programmer and ensure you are not having any problems.

Edge states that the Evolution CTS2 programmer could provide an additional 24 hp and 22 ft-lbs of torque. Keep in mind, the horsepower and torque gain results were tested on stock vehicles, so they could be different with your truck.

In addition to the economy mode, this programmer also has the Mileage Coach that shows how your driving habits affect your fuel economy. It will provide tips on how to improve your driving habits to increase your fuel economy as well.

This performance module is not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in the state of California.
