Question:

I woud like your prodigy 3 for a 2008 tundra. is the wire harness end made to fit my under dash toyota harness controller plug? Is there any replacements pannel available to mount the unit directly into the the dash or the plastic cover that mounts under the steering wheel?

To install the Tekonsha P3 into your 2008 Tundra with the factory 7-way, you'll need the # 3040-P wiring harness which plugs into the factory connector behind or above the driver's side kick panel. As long as your Tundra has the factory tow package with the connector under the dash, it'll be a plug and play install.

There aren't any replacement panels available, but if you go to the linked product page for the # 3040-P, you can see several customer submitted photos showing the controller mounted in the center console. On the older Tundra models, it looks like the ashtray was removed and the controller mounted in its place. It looks like that works really well.

If for some reason that location won't work for you, I'd recommend a remote mount controller like the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite, part # RED44FR. The control unit mounts out of sight under the dash, but the control knob can be installed anywhere you wish within the easy reach of the driver. The kit even includes a mounting bezel to give the install a more factory appearance. An un-used switch knockout can be used for that purpose as well. You'll also need the # 331-TPH-017 wiring harness which will plug into the # 3040-P and then the controller.

I've linked to an install video for the P3, showing it being installed in a Tundra as well as to a video showing a typical installation of the Tow-Pro Elite.
