Thule does list the Passage 2 # TH910XT as a fit for the 2010 BMW X5. i have included a link to a video review and a link to the instructions for this rack for you to view.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight a cross (like a traditional mens bike) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and provide better ground clearance. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
