How To Convert 4-Way On 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 to 7-Way

Question:

Hi...I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Laramine. It came from the factory with the tow package, but for trailer wiring, it only came with the 4 flat connector, but it’s mounted to the factory wiring bracket. What I’d like to do, is convert it to 7 RV blade plug. My question is, do you offer this plug that will fit in that bracket? I know is 3”x3”.

In order to convert the 4-way on a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 into a 7-way you'd need to use the 4 to 7-way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7 which comes with everything you need to install a brake controller as well as its own mounting bracket.

Unfortunately, I don't have much info for you on reusing the factory trailer mounting bracket. You'd likely need to use the one provided with the above kit. We also offer a No-Drill Bracket part # C57202 which allows you to secure it to the trailer hitch tube.
