Parts Needed To Add 7-Way Connector To 2016 Ford F-150 With Factory 4-Way Connector
Question:
I have a four flat harness on my 2016 F150 and am looking to add a seven blade to it. One of the items looks promising, but it doesnt show if I have to have the factory wire severed or not.

To install a 7-way connector on your 2016 Ford F-150 with a factory 4-way connector you will need the # ETBC7.
This kit will plug directly into your factory 4-way connector and will only require you to make a few more connections as shown in the included installation video on a similar 2013 Ford F-150. It is possible that if you follow the factory 4-way wiring back along the frame rail there will be a connector that has the 12v power and trailer brake signal already run.
For a trailer brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it is a top of the line trailer brake controller due to it being extremely reliable. If your truck has the factory 12v wire and trailer brake wire you will be able to simply plug in the # 22292 to the port under the dash, and into the # 90195.
If not you will still use the # 22292, but you will need to run a wire from the blue wire of the # ETBC7 and splice it into the harness.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
