Availability of 7-Way to 4-Pole Trailer Connector Adapter With Trailer End 4-Pole
Question:
Do you have a 4 flat to 7 pin single adapter that has 3 males and 1 female on the 4 way side? Or c an I just change my existing vehicle wiring to accept a 1 male and 4 female adapter? Thx. Sly

We don't carry a 7-way to 4-pole trailer connector adapter that's pinned out that way.
The 4-pole connector on your trailer should have 3 pins and one socket, which is standard. If it is reversed with 3 sockets and one pin, it's been wired incorrectly, and really should be corrected.
I'd recommend using the Wesbar # W787268. The typical failure point of a 4-pole trailer connector is the point where the plug meets the wire, and the # W787268 is very well constructed to make that less likely to happen. You could use a standard harness like # 18004, but if you use the trailer fairly frequently, you'll be replacing the connector every or every other year (ask me how I know this)!
By putting the correct connector on your trailer, you'll be able to easily tow it with a different vehicle if the need arises, because it will be wired and pinned out according to standard.
