Width of Crossbars of Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier # DTA944-968-924

Question:

How long is the bar on the roof rack of the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier w/ Hitch Mounted Load Extender and Single-Bar Roof Rack. With the foam blocks is it as wide as the Load Extender? I have a 14foot and 16foot kayak and I need to know if both will fit on the Darby at the same time

The crossbar on the hitch mounted load extender is 49 inches, or 48 measured in between the load stops. The roof-mounted crossbar is width adjustable, from 45 to 60 inches.

Your ability to carry two kayaks will depend on how wide they are at their widest point.
