Would Thule Hitching Post Pro Allow Tailgate Access Installed in Hitch of 2011 Ram 3500

Does the tilting give enough room to put the tailgate down on a Ram 3500?

The tilt feature of the Thule Hitch Post Pro part # TH934XTR would easily allow the tailgate of your 2011 Ram 3500 to fold down. It might even allow the tailgate to fold down with the rack upright as well. This measures 13-1/2 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole to the nearest upright portion of the rack so if you measured 13.5 inches from you pin hole out you'd be able to determine that.
You should note that the rack can only tilt down without bikes loaded.
For a bike rack that would allow full access to the tailgate with bikes loaded we have the Thule Apex Swing part # TH9027XT which can swing out and away from the rear of the vehicle with bikes loaded.
