Heavy Duty Tire Chains To Fit My LT235/85x16 Blizzak Snow Tires

Question:

I am planning to buy a set of chains. I have a set of LT235/85x16 Blizzak snow tires on my John Deere 260 skid steer. Should I buy the TC2221SHD or the PWE2221SC chains? Do both chains have the square links? I am not sure if the TC2221SHD has square links in the photos. The first set of chains I bought from another company were not heavy duty enough. The twisted cross links snapped from the stress. Please let me know what you would recommend. Thanks

The Titan Chain Tire Chains # TC2221SHD are indeed heavy duty. The extra coating makes them extremely hard and should not break on you. Although these chains are designed for a vehicle and not for a skid steer. The way your skid will twist these chains when turning is going to be putting a lot more stress on the chains than what they were really designed to take. I have not tested these chains with a skid before so I cannot confirm that these will not snap under the intense load. It may be best to get a set of chains designed for your skid, but these will fit your tires. I can say that the heavy duty chains will hold up longer than the Pewag chains though # PWE2221SC.
