I would be happy to recommend all of the parts you need for you to flat tow your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 4x4.
Starting with the base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521446-5. Both of the Roadmaster Base plate options will only fit if your Jeep Trailhawk does not have the active air shutters.
Moving on to a tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-522 due to the non-binding arms that allow you to easily unhook your tow vehicle even if you are parked on un-even ground. You will also need the Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645.
Next is the wiring of which I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord # RM-152-98146-7 which will add a 6-way connector to the front of your Jeep and the included 7-way to 6-way cord will plug into the 7-way connector on your tow vehicle to power your Jeeps lights while it is being flat towed.
For a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to it having an easy install, and since it gets completely removed when you are done flat towing you can use it in multiple vehicles if needed.
You will also need the Mopar Flat Tow Wiring Kit which you can pickup from your local Jeep dealer.
In addition you will likely need a high-low adapter to level your tow bar to your tow vehicle so I have included a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.
Lastly it is a good idea to check the recreational towing section of your owner's manual for any flat towing restrictions, and for any special steps required to make your Jeep ready to be flat towed.
You can find the prices for each of the products mentioned by clicking on the links and going to the product pages, and I included videos of each of the products being installed for you to take a look at.
