Best Trunk-Mounted Bike Rack for a 2020 Dodge Caravan

I am a bike racer on a 2021 Race Across America Team this June. We will be outfitting four Dodge Caravans 2020 rentals to carry our eight rather expensive bikes across twelve states during the nine day race. Most of our personal vehicles have hitched bike racks however rental vans dont have this capability. We are seeking your recommendations as I suspect youve handled requirements such as this before. To outfit your 2020 Dodge Grand Caravans with bike carriers without utilizing a hitch, your best option is to use a trunk-mounted carrier.

With two bikes per Caravan, I recommend the Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH910XT. This can carry 2 bikes each and have anti-sway straps (which is obviously important for such expensive bikes). I've linked to a video review of this rack for you to look at.

For security, I recommend getting the Thule Passive Security Strap for Trunk Mounted Bike Carriers, part # TH533. This will help ensure the entire rack isn't stolen. For the bikes themselves, if you don't already have bike locks, I recommend the Thule Cable Lock w/ One Key System Lock, part # TH538XT. This will ensure the bikes aren't taken from the rack.
