Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommended for 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.5 Foot Bed

Hi I’m looking for a 5th wheel set up for my 2020 Silverado 5.5 foot bed. I have a grand design with the turning point pin box. Thank you

For starters, you'll need a frame bracket/bed rail kit that provides industry standard bed rails. I'd recommend the Reese # RP56015-53. For a hitch, I'd recommend the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115. You'll also need Sidewinder Wedge # C16991 to keep the king pin from rotating inside the hitch head.
Finally, if you'd care to install a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed so you don't need to sling the trailer connector up over the tailgate, I'd recommend the Curt # C56000. The connector installs by plugging inline between the tow package harness and the 7-way trailer connector on the rear bumper. No cutting or splicing is necessary.
