Is it safe to have the vehicle running with heat/air turned on, while attached to the tent?

Expert Reply:

Due to the close proximity of the exhaust pipe to the tent, I would strongly discourage you from running the vehicle while the tent is installed.

Not only could the heat from the exhaust pipe melt the fabric of the tent, but exhaust fumes could very easily enter the tent, leading to carbon monoxide poisoning.
