I recommend adding a weight distribution hitch with sway control built in like the Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - No Shank - Trunnion Bar - 12K GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # RP66074, since it will work to stop sway on the trailer before it starts. Sway can be caused by passing semi-trucks, windy conditions and also by heavier tongue weight trailers . Adding a weight distribution hitch will not only work to re-distribute the tongue weight over both axles of the tow vehicle, but the Strait-Line has dual cam shocks that work to stop sway before it starts by keeping your trailer tracking behind the tow vehicle. You will want to make sure that the frame of your trailer isn't thicker than 2-1/2", but this is one of the best weight distribution and sway control systems on the market and it'll do a great job for you.
This system does not come with a shank, so you'll need to add one after the fact; the Reese # RP54970 is a fairly commonly used one and allows you to use up to a 2" drop to keep your trailer level. If you need more drop than that, I've linked our entire selection of weight distribution shanks for you to choose which one will work best for your truck and trailer.
I've also linked a review video of this weight distribution hitch for you to check out.
