How To Determine If Generator Is Being Overloaded When Hooked Up To 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
When i hookup my honda 2000 generator to my 5th wheel 50 amp trailer, the generator screams like its about to eventually blow up. Do i need a bigger generator or do you think power is being drawn from somewhere?

It is possible that your Honda 2000 Generator is overloaded, but the only way to know for sure is to determine the wattage of each of the appliances plugged in. From my research your generator is rated for 2000 starting watts and 1600 running watts, so you will want to make sure you stay under that.
If you find you are overloading the generator you can possibly add another generator to run in parallel but you will need to confirm that the Honda generator your have can be used this way.
Another option is the A-iPower 3,800-Watt Portable Inverter Generators - 3,000 Running Watts - Gas - Manual Start # 289-SUA2000i-2 which includes 2 generators that when run in parallel will have a 3800 starting watts and 3000 running watts.
I included a video of the # 289-SUA200i-2 and a link to a helpful article that lists the power requirements of common items for you to take a look at.
