Progressive Dynamics PD4060K Converter Making High Pitched Noise

Question:

So we just picked up a 2016 Jayco Octane 272 a few weeks back. We have it in our garage and have been getting it loaded and organized. It looks to have this exact panel/converter in the unit. When we plug into shore power there is a noticeable high pitch hum that seems to get somewhat quieter the more lights we turn on and will stop when i flipped off the converter breaker. Ive tested input and output of the converter which measure good so it seems the converter is doing what it should. I have 120 volt coming in, 13.6 going out and making its way to the two batteries which also tested 13.6. If I flip off the breaker to the converter everything s to 12.6, but will climb right back up to 13.6 after turning back on the converter breaker. I havent left the converter on for longer than 4-5 hours while were out there just to be safe. I also havent noticed the fan kick on at all during the time weve had the camper plugged in, but when I disconnect power to the converter the fan will then spin a few rotations and then stop as the power has been shut down. Is the sound normal? Do I need to replace the converter to get rid of this sound? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Your site seems to have great reviews and I look forward to working with you all.

According to Progressive dynamics, the circuit board in your converter is going bad and needs to be replaced using part # PD4060CSV. According to my contact, there's no danger of fire but eventually the converter will stop working.
