What's Needed to Install Redarc Tow Pro Elite Brake Controller in Truck that Had Brake Controller
Question:
I am looking at replacing a 1998 Tekonsha brake controller with something newer. The folks at the RV Repair Club suggested your site. I am interested in the Redarc Tow Pro Elite with the mount anywhere controller and remote knob control. Your description says I need a $114 kit to install but I already have all of the wiring and trailer socket so do I really need the kit?

Since you already had a Tekonsha brake controller installed in your truck all you need is the Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR which you'd wire color for color to the brake controller wiring you have now and it would be ready to tow with.
