TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade for 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Question:
Hello, We are considering adding the TorkLift Stable Load system to our truck. We have a 2005 Chevy crew cab 6.5 bed 2500HD. Not sure if the leaf is pre-drilled. I took a pic and there is a hole with something in it... Looks like I want the TLA7310. Is that correct? Also should I get the TLA 7200 for the top? How do I tell if it needs drilling? Thank you!

According to TorkLift, their # TLA7310 StableLoad will install on your vehicle with no drilling required.
Both the upper and lower StableLoad work by reducing the preload required before the factory overload springs come into effect. Torklift states that the lower # TLA7310 kit will solve 90% of handling issues experienced by improving safety and handling, reducing sway and body roll and eliminating sag and leveling the vehicle.
The # TLA7200 will do the same thing by applying preload to the upper overload springs by essentially lowering the amount of weight that needs to be applied to the rear suspension before the upper springs contact and come into play. From what Torlklift states, the StableLoad for the upper overload springs will resolve the remaining 10% of the sag and sway that isn't handled by the StableLoad for the lower springs.
What I typically recommend folks do is to begin with the # TLA7310 for the lowers and if that doesn't resolve everything, then go with the # TLA7200 for the uppers. As with the StableLoad for the lowers, no drilling is required to install the uppers.
