Auto Slide 5th Wheel Hitch and In-Bed Trailer Connector Recommended for 2020 Ram 2500
Question:
Hello. I have a 2020 Ram 2500 short bed without the factory puck system. I am looking for an auto slide fifth wheel hitch setup and a trailer brake wiring harness extension for the bed. The trailer I will be towing is 14,000 GVWR. What do you recommend?

I'd recommend the 18K capacity Demco Hijacker Auto Slide 5th wheel hitch, part # DM8550034 and the # DM8552025-71 bracket/rail kit. Just as the name states, the Hijacker Auto Slide hitch head will slide rearward during sharper turns to provide the necessary clearance between the front of the fifth wheel and the rear of the truck cab.
For the trailer wiring harness to mount in the truck bed, I'd recommend the Curt # C56000.
