The important factor to consider when choosing a weight distribution system is the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer. You must also consider the weight of any cargo that will be loaded in the bed of your truck behind the rear axle. This will also contribute to the total tongue weight of the weight distribution system. You will want to choose a weight distribution system that can support the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your set up.
The Reese Weight Distribution System, # RP66560, that you referenced is for trailers that have a fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight from 600 up to 1,200 lbs. The tongue weight of a trailer is typically calculated to be 10 to 15 percent of the trailers total weight. I have attached an FAQ article on how to determine your tongue weight for you to check out.
If your trailer is loaded to the maximum GVW of 9,680 lbs, your tongue weight could be between 968 lbs and 1,452 lbs. If your trailer tongue weight weighs more than 1,000 lbs, then this system may be too light and ineffective. Remember, you will also need to include the weight of any cargo loaded behind the rear axle of your truck.
We offer systems that support higher tongue weights. The Reese system, # RP66561, has a tongue weight capacity of range of 700 to 1400 pounds which would be fine as long as the tongue weight does not exceed 1400 pounds. If you can send me the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer, plus the weight of any cargo that you may load in the back of your truck behind the rear axle, I can give you a weight distribution system recommendation and list of the systems that will work for you.
