The Reese # RE34FR Weight Distribution kit can be used while backing your trailer, but if you need to make sharper turns that could possibly cause the trailer to jackknife, you'll want to remove the spring bars before backing the trailer.

The owner's manual lists no prohibitions regarding using a weight distribution hitch, so the # RE34FR system you looked at would certainly be compatible with your 2021 Honda Pilot. The system is designed for trailers with fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weights up to 600 lbs.
