Can MaxxTow MT70066 Ball Mount/Receiver Flat Tow a Vehicle and Carry Bike Rack at the Same Time
Question:
Just a clarification please. If i use the MaxxTow Ball mount w/ accessory receiver and use the accessory for the Ebike rack how does that affect utilizing the tow dolly for my TOAD?

Expert Reply:
If both the trailer ball and the receiver portion of the # MT70066 is used at the same time, the 500 lb tongue weight capacity of the # MT70066 won't be reduced. Flat towing a vehicle doesn't apply any tongue weight to the ball mount/receiver so as long as the weight of the bike rack and the bikes don't exceed the 500 lb tongue capacity of the ball mount/receiver or the tongue weight capacity of the hitch (whichever is lower), this ball mount will work great for you for carrying the bike rack and flat towing your vehicle.
