Upgraded Wheels/Tire for Keystone Camplite with 205/65-10 Tires
Question:
Hello, Im looking for some stronger tires/wheels for my popup camper. Its a 2001 camplite by keystone. The tires are 205 65 10. Class C with a rating of 1100lbs. My camper dry is 2025. GVWR is 2575 I believe so the current tires wont work with a loaded trailer. A look so would like to know if its easy to replace tires. Please let me know on some tires and how replacement works.

I recommend using the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" White Spoke Wheel part # AM35351DX for 4 bolt or part # AM31199DX for 5 bolt to replace the 205/65-10 tires on a Keystone Camplite. This new wheel/tire combo should just bolt onto the existing hub. They are slightly larger in diameter but narrower in width. This will give you better ground clearance and they are a radial ply so they will run cooler out on the highway which further reduces the chance of a blowout. They will provide a 1,220 lb weight capacity.
Please note, the total weight of the tires does not need to meet the gross weight of the trailer since you will still subtract whatever the tongue weight is.
