What Is The Minimum Distance Between Front And Rear Crossbar On Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Ladder Rack

Question:

Could you clarify what the minimum distance between the front and rear crossbars would be when installed on Toyota Tundra with bed rail management system? I would like to adjust the rack crossbars as far forward on my truck bed as possible when not in use, and set them forward in bed for carrying kayaks when towing travel trailer. My truck is 2012 Tundra with bed rail system, 6.5’ bed. Thank you.

My contact at Rola was able to confirm that each mounting bracket on the Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 59799 measure 12" long. Therefore, when both brackets/crossbars are pushed together, they will total 24" in length. However, your track most likely has notches that are spaced out in a way that will not allow the brackets to be touching each other completely. I measured the bed rail system on my personal Toyota Tundra and the notches are about 1-1/2" from each other. With this measurement, you can assume there will be a minimum distance of 1-1/2" between the brackets for front and rear crossbars; but it will be a good idea to measure the distance between the notches on your vehicle's bed rail to have the most accurate measurement.

I have attached a demonstration video and also made a diagram to help explain this product.
