Light Weight Platform Bike Rack Recommendation for 2 inch Hitch
Question:
Im looking for a platform bike rack for 2 bikes, for a two inch hitch. It will be taken on and off, sometimes by myself, so looking for strength but lightness. We have a 2020 Ford Escape and Explorer, both with two inch hitches. Love your website and narrowed down my options to the Kuat Sherpa 2.0.2, #SH22G or B, the Saris Superclamp EX2, #SA4025F, and the RockyMounts Split Rail LS2, #RKY11404. I would appreciate any comments that would help me make my decision, or, if there is another model that I should also consider. Thank you very much.

All of the bike racks you mentioned are really great options that from a functional point of view would work well. So since you are wanting a lightweight option I would recommend going with the lightest weight option which is the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 part # SH22G since it weighs 32 lbs. The next closest is the Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F which weighs 35 lbs, and then the RockyMounts # RKY11404 which weighs 44 lbs.
