Difference Between SumoSprings Rebel and Solo for 2018 Ram 2500
Question:
Other than load rating, is there any difference between the Solo and Rebel Sumosprings? I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and there are both available. The description mentions the rebels allow for unlimited suspension travel, but geometry and common sense indicates the solos do too. So what really is the difference between the two, or is it just about load capacity? I am looking at a 5th wheel that will have about 2400 pin weight. Thanks!

The big difference between the Sumosprings Rebel # SS64VR and Solo # SSR-312-54 is the 2-piece design of the Rebel vs. the single spring of the Solo. In some applications the 2-piece design does allow more suspension travel since they can separate and the system would not try to reduce ability to extend the suspension, but in your case the Solo does not attach on both sides so this feature isn't as big of a deal.
