Is Prodigy P3 Best Brake Controller to Replace Tekonsha Voyager
Question:
Just to clarify: My truck is a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 with the factory seven point plug. Both my trailers are tandem axles. Is this my best choice. My old Tekonsha Voyager has served me well for 27 years. Thank you.Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - GM Part Numbers: 90195,3015-P

Yes the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 is the best choice for your 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 with the factory 7-way. The P3 is the final evolution of the Tekonsha proportional brake controller like the Voyager you had so if you liked the performance of the Voyager you'll like the P3 even more as it has a much more sophisticated inertia sensor, has more flexibility in how it can mount, and also has a display that shows full words as well.
To install it in your truck all you'd need is the # 3015-P and you'd be set.
