Antenna Friendly RV Cover for Winnebago 2202RBS Minnie Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a Winnebago 2202RBS that I would like to get a cover for. This camper has a small metal antenna on top for the radio. What can be done with that when putting the cover on so as not to damage it? Thank you

For the best all-weather protection, I'd recommend the Adco # 290-52243 All-Climate RV cover. The cover offers superior protection against rain, dirt, wind, and sun. The cover features a zippered panel on the side to allow access to the interior of your travel trailer without needing to remove the cover. The cover is a confirmed fit for travel trailers that are from 24-26 feet in length.

The # 290-74842 cover you'd looked at wouldn't offer as much protection as the all-weather model I recommended.

As far as the antenna goes, there are several different ways of handling that and how you proceed will depend on the exact type and size of the antenna. If it's a simple metal aerial, I've seen folks install the properly sized grommet in the cover, and simply feed it through the cover. Some antennas feature an aerial that can simply be unscrewed from the base, and if that's the case with yours, that's the easiest way to proceed. If it's an aerial like part # JAN139, you can simply rotate the antenna down.

If you'd care to reply with a photo of the antenna in question, I'd be happy to look for a more specific solution for you.
