Which Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit for Trailer With 5,200 lb Axles

Question:

I have a Grand Design Reflection 28BH with 5,200 lbs axles. Which Roadmaster Comfort Ride sytem would be better, the RM-2460-2560 for 5,000 lbs axles or the RM-2460-2570 for the 7,000 lbs axles? I am leaning toward the 7,000 lbs model since my current leaf springs are getting flat.

I confirmed with Roadmaster for you that for your Grand Design Reflection that has 5,200 lb axles the correct kit is the one you referenced, which is the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit with Shock Absorbers - Tandem 7K Trailer Axles # RM-2460-2570.

The reason is, the slipper springs in this kit is the correct one for trailers with axles rated up to 7,000 lbs (which means they can be rated for less), and the slipper springs in the # RM-2460-2570 kit is only rated for trailers with axles rated up to 5,000 lbs, so it isn't rated quite high enough for your Grand Design.

You have made a really good choice with the Comfort Ride system, as the springs and gas shocks are going to combine to give you a much smoother and more comfortable ride as well as improved handling.

I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit with Shock Absorbers - Tandem 7K Trailer Axles # RM-2460-2570.
