Question:
What is the weight difference when you replace your triple axle drum brakes with HSE7K-TR1 electric/hydraulic discs.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The weight difference is truly negligible when moving from hydraulic drum brakes to the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit with Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers # HSE7K-TR1.
The HydraStar kit weighs just over 300 lbs, and a good estimate for six hub and drums with six hydraulic brake assemblies is going to be about 300 lbs as well, give or take. So you truly won't have anything to worry about in regards to adding additional weight to your trailer when switching to the HydraStar kit.
What you will get with this kit is the best braking possible; an electric over hydraulic disc brake kit allows you the quick response time of electric brakes with the superior stopping power of hydraulic disc brakes. I have added a link below to a video review and install for you to check out as well of the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit with Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers # HSE7K-TR1.
