Cable Snow Tire Chains Compatible With Tire Size 235/55-19
Question:
Tire Chains/Cables - I have a 2021 Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid with 235/55-19 Tires. The owners manual says this size of tire should not use chains, it doesnt specify not to use cables. I read Jeffreys help page and the clearance looks fine for Class S chains. Can you verify which cables are approved for this size of tire? Thank you,

The Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains # TC2019 are compatible with 235/55-19 tires. This is a great way to provide extra traction in light snow, without the cost and troubles of installing snow tires. I have attached a video showing the simple installation process that these cable chains offer. You will also need a chain/cable adjuster to keep the tire chains tightly secured to your vehicle's tires. I recommend the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters # PW103, as these will hold up better than other adjusters on the market. The ring design and multiple arms allows for the adjuster to still work even if one arm gets damaged at some point in time. I have attached a demonstration video for this product.
In regard to determining if you should use any tire chains/cables on your vehicle, you will want to verify with the manufacturer or a Toyota dealership. Some vehicles allow chains to be installed on the front driving wheels, but not on the back. I have seen a few reviews on the # TC2019 product page from customers using them on their Toyota Rav4, but like I said, you will want to verify with Toyota first.
