Recommended Base Plates for 2021 Ford Ranger Compatible with Curt Rambler

Question:

I have a Curt Rambler tow bar. I will be getting a 2021 Ford Ranger in the near future as a tow behind. Is the Blue Ox base plate BX2679 compatible? Or does Curt make a base plate? Or what do you recommend? My motor home is a 2021 Super C Thor Magnitude. I have a Rambler tow bar from my previous motor home.

I have a solution for you, but Curt does not make a base plate for the 2021 Ford Ranger. However, your Curt Rambler Tow Bar # C26FR is compatible with Blue Ox base plates so you can use the # BLU77XR on your Ranger and they will be compatible. This Blue Ox base plate kit has removable arms to keep the front end clear from obstructions and unsightly base plates when you're not flat towing.

You may also need new tow bar wiring for your Ranger; for that I recommend using the Roadmaster Hy-Power Diode Kit # RM-154 which will provide you with a high quality diode kit to protect the electrical system of your new RV and Ranger. This kit is designed for 4 way RV wiring, but if you've got a 7 way on your RV then I recommend using the Roadmaster # RM-15247, which also comes with diodes and a flexo-coil plug that won't drag on the ground during travel.
