Parts Needed to Install Prodigy P3 Brake Controller in 2016 Ford Expedition with 4-Way
Question:
Im looking at installing a break controller on my 2016 Ford Expedition EL. It has the tow package. It has the factory hitch plus a 4 plug connection. The wiring also has some extras marked for electronic breaks and when I looked in the dash it has the plug where the factory ebrake controller would be. My question is about part number HM40975-11998 it doesnt say it fits my vehicle but if I plan to cut the factory 4-way and hard wire the 7-way that shouldnt matter correct? In total Im looking to get three parts. HM40975-11998, 22292, and 90195. That should allow me to hook up a 7-way slotted and 4-way trailer with out any adapters and full functionality from what I can tell.

The parts you mentioned would accomplish what you are looking for since your 2016 Ford Expedition is wired for the 7-way and brake controller. So you'd just need the P3 brake controller # 90195, the install harness # 22292, and the 7-way with wiring # HM40975-11998 and you'd be set.
