How Much Fluid Should Be Added When Installing Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler

How much extra fluid was added after installation in the video? Im installing on a 2013 equinox and the transmission for these does not have a dipstick to check the fluid levels.

There are variables that go into refilling the transmission fluid after installing a cooler such as the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler part # D13502, these variable include the length/size of line used and the capacity of the cooler. Therefore, I cannot provide specifics. That said, I would think 1/4-1/2 of a quart would be plenty but I do must recommend you check and re-fill as needed. There are other ways to check even without a dipstick but sadly they require certain tools that can access different vehicle parameter such a trans fluid temperature.
