Determining Length of Trailer Axle on Deck Over Trailer

Question:

Im looking into replacing an axle for a 35ls big tex landscape trailer. I believe the with of the deck is 77 inches what axle would I need?

That's hard to say with just the info provided but you'll need to determine where you'll want your wheels to be positioned under the deck. Keeping in mind that trailer wheels have a zero offset so to know where the edges of your tires will be placed will be based on half of the width of the tire removed from either end of the axle length. That's how'd you get the overall hub face to hub face dimension.

Then to pick out the correct spring seat dimension you'd need to measure between the frame channels on center where you'll be attaching the suspension to.
