Recommended Easy to Install Brake Controller for 2020 Ford Edge
Question:
Wanting to add a brake controller for my 2020 Ford Edge AWD with factory tow package to tow a camper with 7 pin plug. The existing tow package on my Edge includes the 4 wire flat plug. An out of the way or wireless controller would be ideal. What are my options?

We do indeed offer an easy to install wireless brake controller option that would work great with your 2020 Ford Edge. The Curt # C51180 Echo Wireless Brake Controller would use your smart phone as the in-cab controls, so you don't need to attach a box to the underside of your dashboard that you'll end up banging your knee on.
To install the controller, you'll need the # ETBC7L install kit, which includes the adapter to convert your existing 4-pin flat trailer connector to a 7-way (like the # C57674 you'd looked at) as well as all the wire, the circuit breaker and hardware necessary to complete the install.. You'll need to ground the adapter to the vehicle frame or chassis, and extend the black wire on the adapter to the vehicle's positive battery terminal using wire included with the kit. All you'll need to do is run that one circuit to power the controller, and it's all plug and play from there. I'd also recommend the # 18136 no drill bracket to attach the 7-way adapter to the hitch crossbar.
I'll link to a video that explains the installation, and to a video that explains how the Curt Echo wireless brake controller works.
