Does Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Use Vehicle's Anti-Lock Braking System

Question:

have the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional Item # 90195. Since trailer brakes work on signal from brake light wire, I was wondering if tow vehicle has anti lock brakes, do the trailer brakes also modulate with the tow vehicle brakes? The anti-lock braking system of your vehicle does not pass through to the trailer brakes when using a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 part # 90195. The brake controller "thinks" independently of the vehicle braking system and instead relies on it's inertia sensor to apply the correct amount of pressure.

To prevent the brakes from locking up though you will need to set the gain at a level that is as strong as possible without locking up the brakes which would give you max breaking in the event of an emergency.
