Installation Location of Kats #11045 on 2011 Subaru Forester with 2.5L Engine

do you have to the front of the exhaust to install kats 11405 on my 2011 subaru forester

It appears that your Forester has a 4-cylinder, 2.5L, engine. The Kat's # 11405 is the correct heater for this engine and the install location is on the (FL) front left. I reached out to my contact at the manufacturer and they confirmed the general location and based on some limited knowledge of the Subaru, they agreed that having to move the exhaust could be correct. I have included a graphic that also shows the general install location.
