Tips for Fitting Stubborn Timbren Kit into 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

I drive a 2019 Chevy 2500. I bought rear timbrens I can’t get them to stay in. It’s the compression type I’ve tried with a jack and wood and no luck any other tricks.

The Timbren kit part # TGMRTT35D that fits your 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 does require slipping into the "cup" where the old jounce bumper fit into. They recommend using soapy water on the Timbren when pressing it in and "twisting" while pushing it in.

Since it's winter and rubber gets even harder when it's colder I would recommend also having the Timbren inside and even sitting on a heater vent to warm it up so that it would be a little softer.
