Does Swivel of Blue Ox BX7380 Alpha 2 Tow Bar Require Lubrication

Question:

Is it recommended to lube the swivel where the 2 arms meet on a Blue Ox Alpha tow bar where the plastic washers are? If so, what lube is recommended?

Blue Ox states that the only portion of the tow bar that needs lubrication are the arms. To lubricate those, you'd remove the zip ties holding the rubber boots in place and clean the inner legs with silicone spray or brake cleaner, then lubricate with a light coat of multipurpose grease.

The washers used at the swivel are described as being 'self lubricating', they can be cleaned with soap and water if necessary.
