Durability of the Fulton Single Axle Trailer Fender

Question:

Hello, I am looking at your Fulton Single Axle Trailer Fender with Top and Side Steps - Black Plastic - 15 Wheels Item # F008585. My question is this, i If you hit it with a regular hammer would it flex at all or is it so hard the hammer would bounce off it? Of course it wouldnt break!

It sounds like what you are really asking is, "Is this a tough, heavy duty product?" To that I would say yes, and I would say other consumer reviewers agree.

The Fulton # F008585 fender's steps have a weight capacity of 300 lbs. It's made of a high density polyethylene material, so the fender itself is corrosion proof and impact resistant, and its material has been testified as "very strong" and "nice heavy gauge" in our consumer product reviews. It's clearly a durable product made of strong material, ready to carry a considerable load on the top.

I definitely do not recommend hitting this product with a hammer, even to test its durability.

While this fender is designed for weight to be applied directly to the steps and is resistant towards that type of impact, it's difficult to say exactly how much it would flex/bounce on a strike from a hammer. Installing this fender typically involves drilling, and not hammering, and it's well designed to be modified for custom drilling applications.
