Will There Be a Brake Controller Port On a 2013 Ford Flex With Factory 7-Way Trailer Connector

Question:

I have a 2013 Ford Flex with factory Class III Towing Pkg. It has the seven pin plug and a four pin plug. I am assuming since it has the seven pin plug it is wired for electric brakes. Can you confirm that and recommend electric brakes system that would plug and play? Thanks

If a 2013 Ford Flex came with a factory 7-way trailer connector then it would have also come with the provisions for a trailer brake controller. For this, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 would be an excellent option and offers plug-in-play installation when used with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 22292.
