Recommended Suspension Enhancement For 2018 Ford F-150 2WD W/ 3 of Suspension Sag When Towing

Question:

I have a 2018 F150 2WD, pulling a 7000# travel trailer with 750# tongue weight with a weight distribution hitch. It squats 3 inches in the rear loaded. Which Sumo helper springs would you recommend?

That sounds like an awful lot of suspension sag with a weight distribution system on your 2018 Ford F-150 2WD.

First things first I recommend verifying that you have the weight distribution set correctly, as it is normal to still experience some suspension sag, but 3" seems pretty extreme. If you can tell me which brand and model weight distribution system you have I would be happy to provide instructions, or you can refer to the instruction manual that came with your system.

If your weight distribution system is set correctly, I recommend an air bag system like the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs # AL59570 which will allow you to adjust the air pressure up or down to level your truck, but will also allow you to air the bags down to 5 psi when you are not towing to keep the vehicle's ride unchanged. This system offers 2000lbs of load leveling support and can be manually aired up with the included manual valves, or by using the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25592.

The highest rated SumoSprings Helper Spring for your truck is the # SSR-116-47 which has a 1500lb support capacity, but based on the amount of sag you are experiencing I believe an air helper spring system would be a better choice.
